Murano Glass Vase Smoke Grey

Using the Incalmo technique the  Murano Glass Vase Smoke Grey  is created by hand. The Incalmo technique is considered one of the most difficult glass making techniques. It is the process of heating the glass to combine two hand-blown shapes along their circumference in order to obtain one object in which different areas, usually in different colours, suggestively meet.

The result is a stunning glass piece with sexy grey tones and a free formed circular shape. The top of the vase is a clearer grey and where the two pieces join there is a  center rim demonstrating where the two pieces are joined. Creating a piece with this level of difficulty along with the design and the stunning hues of the glass is something Maria Cristina Andretto excels at. This Murano glass vase is one of a series of  two vases created with the Incalmo technique.
